About the Role
YCSS currently has various roles located across Ipswich and Western Suburbs however there is also the capacity for you to pick up additional shifts at our other regions.

28 HOURS PER FORTNIGHT
Week 1 of pay cycle
Wednesday 2pm-10pm Inactive Sleepover(8hours) Finish time 6am
Week 2 of pay cycle
Wednesday 2pm-10pm Inactive Sleepover (8hours) Finish time 6am
Saturday 6pm-10pm Inactive Sleepover 6-8am (6 hours) Finish time 8am
Sunday 4pm-10pm Inactive Sleepover (6hours) Finish time 6am
As a Support Worker you will be required to:
Provide a high standard of practicalsupport through therapeutic programs for Young People living in ResidentialOut-of-Home Care.
Manage challenging and complex behaviours.
Provide support through daily routineseducation recreational lifestyle support home maintenance and hygiene.
About You
You are resilient confident and able tomaintain self-awareness in challenging situations.
You can build rapport quickly and maintainrelationships.
You work well under pressure and canhandle complex and challenging behaviours historical trauma and reactiveattachment disorders.
Be prepared to work afternoonssleepovers weekends and public holidays.
Essential Criteria:
Current First Aid & CPR Certification
Current Paid Blue Card Working withChildren
Current Open QLD Driver Licence
Willing and able to use a company vehicle
Hope and Healing Course (this can beprovided by YCSS)
Ability to complete and pass a LicensedCare Services screening check LCS2/LCS7 (Please note that this check can takeup to 4 weeks to be processed).
You must have a reliable registered motorvehicle with comprehensive car insurance and willingness to transport youngpeople (Vehicle will need to be a minimum of a 4- door sedan to be able tosafely transport children and young people if required).
Hold a Certificate IV or above inindustry- related field (Please refer to DCYJMA Minimum Qualification Standardsfor all Residential Care staff in Queensland).
