About the Role
Yadu Health isseekingdedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join ourAged Care servicesteam. Therearemultiplefull time part time and casualpositions availablefor those who are passionate about providing support tothe EldersResidents at Seaview Village and to members of the community in their Workers are critical in providingResidentsand theElders in ourcommunitywith care and support to ensure that they have a safeculturallyappropriateclean comfortable and secure living environment.
Key responsibilities include(but not limited to):
- SupportResidents with activitiesof daily living meals mobility and personal care needs.
- Provide companionship emotional support and encourage participation in social and recreational activities.
- MonitorResidents healthassistwithmedications as directed and promptly report any changes or concerns.
- Maintainaccuratecare records and ensure a safe clean and comfortable living environment in line with health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively withResidents families and colleagues while advocating forResidents needs and completing required training.
This role requires someone who is proactive culturally responsive and deeply aligned with our mission to support First Nations health outcomes.
About You
You are a compassionateSupport Workerwho values cultural respect and understands the importance ofperson-centredcare in an Aboriginal community. You bring strong clinical skills the ability to respond to changing health needs and a commitment tomaintainingdignity independence and quality of life for thrive in this positionwe are looking for candidateswho can meet the following criteria:
- Previousexperience in a similar Aged Care role.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent(or willingness to obtain)is highly desirable.
- Experience working withAboriginal and Torres Strait Islandercommunitiesis highlydesirable.
- Valid Driver Licence (Class C or equivalent).
- Permanent work rights in Australiaor work rights that do not require employer sponsorship.
