ManagerPlanningServices Purpose

ThePeopleManageratGordianisastrategicleader whoensurestheirteamisalignedwiththecompanysvisionfosters a high-performance culture and drives efficiency to contribute to revenue growth. This role is pivotal in managing team dynamics providing feedback and enhancing team development through continuous improvement practices. The Manager is equally responsible for meeting revenue goals of the department and Gordian. Reports to the Director of their region or team.

Location:Remote Canada nearmajorairport

Thispositionworksremotelywithupto30% visits for building assessments interviews with key facilities personnel and executive presentations to client this reason People Managers should live in convenient proximity to a major airport.

PrimaryResponsibilities

  • PartnerswithRegionalandDepartmentLeadershiptoensureaunifiedapproachtoproblemsolvingand department goals.
  • Allocatesprojectworktoalignemployeestrengthsinterestsgoalsgrowthopportunitiesandworkloads.
  • Coachescorecompetenciesandskilldevelopmentforemployeestoapplyintheirday-to-daywork.
  • Supportsprojectteamstohavedirectandeffectivecommunication.
  • Leverageenterprisebusinesstoolstodriveorganizationalimprovements.
  • Leadsinitiativestoachieveteamandcompanygoals.
  • WorkswiththeRegionalLeaderstoshapetheteamenvironmentinwhichpeoplearefulfilledandgrowing towards maximum potential.
  • Celebratessuccessesandacknowledgesaccomplishmentsoftheteam.
  • Participatesindepartmentrecruitingandhiringefforts.

Establish&GuideProfessionalDevelopmentPlans

  • Workswithemployeestoalignpersonalvaluesprofessionalgoalspositionresponsibilitiesandproject opportunities into a professional development plan.
  • Synthesizesandcommunicatesfeedbacktoemployeesbasedondirectinteractionsandinformationgathered from project teams.
  • Identifiesgrowthopportunitiesandprovidescoachingtoovercomechallengesproactively.
  • Coachesandprovidesguidanceonshortmediumandlong-termcareerdirection.
  • IdentifieswhenHRsupportisneededandcollaborateseffectively.
  • Effectivelymanagestoachievepositiveteamengagementandfulfillment.

SupportBusinessDevelopmentforNewandExistingClients:

  • SupportsalesandmarketingassubjectmatterexpertforPlanningServicessolutions.
  • Identifiesandsupportscross-sellandupsellopportunitiesofallGordiansolutionsandcollaborateswithregional sales account executives to develop further.
  • Develops and sustains long-term relationship management strategies for clients in collaboration with Regional Leader or Regional Sales rep as needed; collaborates with Project Managers in support of client relationship management;partnerswithResourceLeaderstoachieveprojectexecutionandovercomebarrierstocustomer delivery.
  • Deliversthoughtleadershiptotheindustry.
  • Participatesintheimprovementofourproductsinresponsetoindustryneedsandcustomerfeedback.
  • Developsstrategiestoclosegapsbetweenforecastandactualsbywayofshiftingworkandresourceswhen possible

DriveProgresswithMembersandCultivateClientRelationships

  • Increaseseffectivenessofdirectreportsthroughdataanddeliverablesupportreviewingworktoensuredata accuracy and quality as needed.
  • Leadsinitiativessupportsownershipofworkloadsandholdsteammembersaccountabletoensureprogression of client work for the entire team.

Qualifications

  • MinimumofBachelorsdegreeorequivalent
  • 3yearspeoplemanagementexperience
  • Experience and solid understanding of Facilities Condition Assessment Process and Facilities Capital Planning
  • Strongcommunicationandpublicspeakingskills
  • Strongorganizationalandprioritizationskills/abilitytomanagemultipledirectreports/projectssimultaneously
  • Theabilitytotravelupto 30%
  • Physicalrequirementsforthisroleincludetheability towalkaroundacampusenvironmentfor6-8hoursperdayas wellastheabilitytoascend/descendaladderand/orworkinoutdoorweatherconditionsasmanyasseveraltimesa month
