Position: Special Education Paraprofessional to assist in classroom serving students with special needs
(1 position)

Funding Source: Special Education

Qualifications: Paraprofessional requirements as per NCLB;
Mï½nimum high school diploma or equivalent;
Correct English usage and grammar;
Knowledge of educational behavioral and emotional principles and techniques;
Ability to relate to adults and children of all ages particularly those with a disabling condition;
Current CPR certification; First Aid training;
Ability to lift 50 pounds;
Ability to assist with toileting needs.

Salary Range: Current Hourly Rate

Job Description: Assist Special Ed Teachers/students in classroom

General Information: June 12 ï½ 18 and June 22-25 2026
Students attend June 15 ï½ 18 and June 22 ï½ 25 2026
6.5 hours per day (7:45 a.m. ï½ 2:15 p.m.) students attend 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Location: JG Johnson Elementary School

Preference will be given to those applicants who are currently employed as special education paraprofessionals by Nye County School District. Preference given to those applicants who are CPI Trained.
