About the Role This is a numbers-meet-mission kind of role. Youll be the financial backbone of a busy mental health clinic keeping a close eye on insurance revenue across four departments and making sure every dollar billed is a dollar collected. Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Insurance Tracking
- Pull Excel reports from the EHR to reconcile what each department billed versus what was actually collected
- Track expected vs. actual insurance income per department on a monthly basis
- Identify and follow up on missing denied or short payments
Billing Collaboration
- Partner with the billing team to close revenue gaps and ensure no payments fall through the cracks
Expense Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor spending across all four departments and flag any unusual activity
- Maintain accurate up-to-date records in QuickBooks
- Deliver a clear monthly report to the CFO per department covering expected income amounts received and outstanding balances
Qualifications
- Experience with insurance payments or accounts receivable in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with EHR systems (or ability to learn quickly)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (or ability to learn quickly)
- Strong attention to detail catches discrepancies before they become problems
- Self-directed and reliable; follows through without needing to be reminded
