POSITION:ESOL TEACHER (English to Speakers of Other Languages)

Effective 2026-27 School Year

LOCATION: KETTERING FAIRMONT MIDDLE SCHOOL/JOHN F. KENNEDY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

GENERAL INFORMATION:This position requires an Ohio Department of Education license with an endorsement to Teacher English to Speakers of Other Languages and will travel between Kettering Middle School and John F. Kennedy Elementary School. The work may include home visits as well as daily one-on-one work with students.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Partial List

1. Develops daily and seasonal educational objectives.
2. Supervises and manages all classroom activities.
3. Participates in school-wide programs and activities as appropriate.
4. Communicates with parents and guardians of assigned students.
5. Maintains records regarding student progress.
6. Provides a variety of instructional experiences for all students.

QUALIFICATIONS Partial List

1. Minimum of Valid Ohio Teaching License.
2. Must pass criminal background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
3. Collaboration and problem-solving skills.
4. Educational technology skills.

SALARY: According to approved salary schedule.
