Job Summary:
TheTechnical Sales Consultantis a key internal sales contributor responsible for advancing small to mid-size quoted opportunities through ECS sales funnel and converting them into customer orders. This role supports revenue growth within established sales territories by collaborating closely with the outside sales team and performing high-impact sales activities.
TheTechnical Sales Consultantwill proactively engage with customers to ensure timely follow-up on quotes address inquiries and facilitate purchasing decisions through virtual and over-the-phone addition the role will initiate outreach to cold or previously inactive accounts to re-establish relationships identify new opportunities and expand ECS customer base.
By focusing on high-value activities that enhance both the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales function theTechnical Sales Consultantdirectly contributes to ECS revenue growth objectives and long-term business success.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage and advance small to mid-size quoted opportunities through the sales funnel to secure customer orders.
- Ensure the accuracy and health of the sales pipeline by monitoring opportunities updating status in the CRM and driving consistent follow-up actions.
- Proactively follow up with customers to address questions provide information and facilitate timely purchasing decisions.
- Conduct outbound prospecting and engage with cold or inactive accounts to generate new sales opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with the outside sales team to support territory goals and ensure seamless customer engagement.
- Serve as a collaborator for assigned sales territories providing insights on customer trends opportunities and potential risks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities opportunities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell products and services to existing customers.
- Work with internal stakeholders including marketing operations and customer support to resolve issues and enhance the customer experience.
- Identify and communicate trends in sales metrics pipeline status and progress toward territory targets.
- Participate in sales meetings training sessions and continuous learning opportunities to stay informed about products services and industry trends.
- Develop a strong understanding of the companys products or services their features and benefits to effectively communicate their value to customers.
- Contribute to the development and execution of strategies to increase customer engagement and maximize revenue within assigned territories.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Proven ability to convert quoted opportunities into closed sales orders through proactive follow-up and customer engagement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting including re-engaging cold or inactive accounts to generate new opportunities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales software to track opportunities manage pipelines and maintain accurate records.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding KPI targets
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders including sales marketing operations and customer support teams to align strategies and deliver seamless customer experiences.
- Self-motivated adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced performance-driven environment.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with value-based or consultative selling methodologies
- Analytical skills to assess sales data customer feedback and territory performance to support informed decision-making
- Knowledge of sales funnel management and pipeline forecasting best practices
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in engineering technical discipline business or equivalent experience in building system sales required
- 2 years of direct sales or customer-facing experience required
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- This is an in-office position requiring regular working hours at ECS headquarters.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as necessary.
