About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Intermediate Contracting Administrator to support the 355th Contracting Squadron (355 CONS)at DavisMonthan Air Force Base. This position provides hands-on acquisition and contracting support across commercial purchases minor construction and source selection activities in a fast-paced Air Force environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a contracting professional who enjoys detailed acquisition work understands the importance of compliance and documentation and is motivated by supporting mission-critical operations and Air Force readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Acquisition & Contract Administration Support
- Support acquisition planning and contract administration activities across a variety of procurement actions
- Assist Contracting Officers with the development and execution of acquisition strategies
- Prepare solicitations procurement packages and related acquisition documentation
- Help ensure timely accurate and compliant contract execution
Source Selection & Evaluation Support
- Assist with source selection activities proposal evaluations and coordination of technical reviews
- Support pricing analysis and help prepare negotiation materials
- Draft reports acquisition briefings and other supporting documentation
- Contribute to procurement decisions by ensuring complete and well-organized evaluation records
Compliance Documentation & Systems Management
- Maintain contract files records and systems in accordance with federal and Air Force requirements
- Ensure procurement documentation is accurate complete and audit-ready
- Coordinate with DFAS and other stakeholders to support financial and acquisition workflows
- Ensure compliance with FAR DFARS and applicable Air Force contracting policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following baseline qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or
- 8 years of federal contracting experience or
- 6 years of Air Force contracting experience
In addition candidates should have:
- 6 years of federal contracting experience including at least 2 years of base-level purchasing experience
- DAWIA or FAC-C Professional certification
- Strong knowledge of FAR DFARS and Air Force acquisition processes
- Excellent written communication documentation and analytical skills
- Ability to work 100% onsite and collaborate effectively with government personnel
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting construction contracting
