Typical Qualifications on the First Day of Work:
Bachelors degree in business administration public administration operations or a related field.
Three years of experience managing or coordinating project delivery process improvement initiatives or operational programs.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and coordinating efforts across multiple stakeholders or business units.
Experience or familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or similar approaches preferred.
Core Competencies:
Coordination and execution of Continuous Improvement initiatives across multiple projects and agencies
Stakeholder engagement facilitation and communication to support cross-functional alignment
Application of process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma or similar) to identify and implement improvements
Data tracking analysis and performance measurement to monitor progress and inform decision-making
Development and oversight of Continuous Improvement program tools standards and practices to support consistent implementation
The Office of Budget and Program Planning has created an exciting new position for the right candidate. The office has rolled out a Continuous Improvement Process across many Executive Branch agencies with the intent of implementing a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) in all Executive Branch agencies. The role of the CI Coordinator will be to provide coordination and support cross-agency Continuous Improvement initiatives by working with agency stakeholders sponsors and teams to identify plan implement and track improvement efforts. The coordinator will be responsible for facilitating agency enrollment in the CI program guiding selection of program participants and supporting identification of improvement projects aligned with agency and statewide priorities. The coordinator will deliver CI program training based on Lean Six Sigma principles oversee and communicate status of the CI project portfolio and provide ongoing coaching and development to program participants. The coordinator will also monitor program and project progress and promote consistent application of statewide CI methods to improve services efficiency and outcomes.
