Fabrication Shop Manager

Job Summary

This is a working manager role not a desk job. Youll be actively involved in the day-to-day work while also coordinating shop activities keeping jobs on track and serving as the go-to person for anything fabrication-related. Success in this role is driven by organization ownership reliability and the ability to keep work moving efficiently.

You dont need to come in as an expert in sprinkler fabrication. Were looking for someone who is comfortable in a shop environment highly dependable and quick to learn. Youll train alongside our current manager before stepping into the role.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day operation of the fabrication shop
• Keep work organized prioritized and moving on schedule
• Pull and prepare materials for fabrication and delivery
• Measure cut groove thread and assemble pipe (training provided)
• Operate shop equipment and tools safely and efficiently
• Load/unload materials and operate a forklift
• Coordinate daily work and adjust priorities based on deadlines
• Serve as the go-to person for shop questions and support
• Ensure materials are ready and available for upcoming work
• Maintain a clean safe and well-organized shop and yard

• Background in a shop warehouse manufacturing or maintenance environment
• Highly organized and self-directed
• Someone who naturally takes ownership and keeps things on track
• Teachable and willing to learn new systems and processes
• Comfortable being both hands-on and the person others rely on
• Looking for a long-term role with stability

Requirements

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record (required for company driving insurance)
• Ability to lift and move 100 lbs regularly
• Ability to be on your feet most of the day
• Comfortable working in indoor/outdoor shop conditions
• Basic computer skills (email opening spreadsheets)

• Monday - Friday 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Pay Range
$28 to $34/hour eligible for overtime - placement on the pay range is based on relevant experience
