Job Summary
MalaceHR is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the daily maintenance operations of a multifamily residential community. This role is responsible for completing repairs preventative maintenance unit turns and maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the property while delivering excellent customer service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance including HVAC plumbing electrical carpentry appliance and pool repairs
- Complete work orders and resident service requests in a timely manner
- Prepare vacant apartments for move-in readiness within company timelines
- Conduct preventative maintenance and property inspections
- Maintain grounds common areas and overall curb appeal
- Assist with inventory control and maintenance supply tracking
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
- Respond to emergency and after-hours maintenance calls on a rotating schedule
- Maintain accurate documentation using property management software such as Yardi
- Ensure compliance with OSHA Fair Housing and local safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- HVAC/EPA certifications preferred
- 2 years of apartment facilities or general maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC plumbing electrical appliances and general building maintenance
- Experience with Yardi or similar property management software preferred
- Strong communication customer service and organizational skills
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required
Schedule & Requirements
- Full-time position
- Must be available for rotating on-call emergencies weekends and snow removal when needed
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and perform physical maintenance duties as required
