Financial Analyst
Position Summary
Identifies and conducts financial analysis of issues and strategic decisions facing the company. Evaluates impacts on financial structure profitability financial integrity and competitive position. Supports revenue forecasting cost-benefit analysis and financial reporting to aid in decision-making. Provides expertise in financial modeling regulatory compliance and strategic financial planning.
This senior-level technical position performs a wide range of clerical and administrative assistance functions. Responsible for maintenance of records data retrieval/compilation financial reporting (budget/variance/cost tracking) month-end close and ensuring that all transactions are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley. May perform some limited accounts payable activities inventory activities indicator tracking and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in financial modeling revenue forecasting and variance analysis.
- Support financial impact analysis for operational and strategic decisions.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management.
- Conduct research on GAAP regulatory requirements and financial policies.
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to financial performance.
- Maintain financial records and support data retrieval and compilation activities.
- Assist with financial reporting including budget variance and cost tracking.
- Support month-end close activities and reporting processes.
- Ensure financial transactions comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and internal controls.
- Perform limited accounts payable activities as needed.
- Support inventory tracking and operational indicator reporting where applicable.
- Assist with miscellaneous administrative and financial duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related technical field required.
- High School/GED with 2 5 years of relevant duties experience may also be considered based on role requirements.
- 1 5 years of experience in financial analysis forecasting financial structuring or regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of financial reporting budgeting and variance analysis.
- Understanding of GAAP principles and financial compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and support cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting month-end close and financial reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements and internal controls.
- Exposure to accounts payable inventory tracking or cost accounting functions.
- Experience preparing leadership-ready financial reports and presentations.
- Knowledge of financial systems ERP platforms or reporting tools preferred.
