Job Summary

Job Title: - EDI Tech Lead

Location: - Houston TX (Onsite)

Duration: - 3 Months of Contract

Description:

Core Responsibilities

Rebuild Howcos legacy EDI system using modern scalable technologies.
Migrate away from C#/.NET middleware into a new integration layer using modern languages (React TypeScript GoLang Python Ruby - manager is open).
Redesign and modernize all existing C#/.NET APIs into new languages and frameworks.
Integrate EDI workflows into SAP Ariba and SAP procurement systems.
Work directly with the CIO and Tech Lead to define architecture roadmap and implementation strategy.
Provide hands on development troubleshooting and modernization of backend systems.
Collaborate closely with business users and technical teams to ensure smooth adoption.

Required Experience

Strong EDI background - including experience with X12 documents (etc.).
Experience with AS2 or similar EDI transport protocols (SFTP VAN API based EDI).
Experience modernizing or rebuilding legacy integration systems.
Deep API development experience (REST JSON authentication integration patterns).
Ability to recommend and implement modern tech stacks .
Experience with SAP Ariba or SAP procurement integrations (highly preferred).
Hands on coding ability in at least one modern language:
- React / JavaScript / TypeScript
- GoLang
- Python
- Ruby on Rails
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a small high trust team.
