Schedule

• Full-Time
• Night Shift: 10:00 PM 6:30 AM
• Rotating Weekends
• Flexible shift options: 8 10 or 12-hour shifts

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $27.09 $37.92 (based on experience)
• On-Call Pay: $2.00/hr
• Night Differential: $2.50/hr

Position Overview

The Medical Technologist performs routine and stat clinical laboratory testing across Blood Bank Chemistry and Hematology. This role ensures accurate timely and high-quality patient results while supporting laboratory operations regulatory compliance and quality standards under the direction of laboratory leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and stat clinical laboratory testing with accuracy and efficiency
• Conduct testing in Blood Bank Chemistry and Hematology departments
• Perform quality control procedures and implement corrective actions as needed
• Operate troubleshoot and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
• Review pending logs and resolve outstanding workload issues
• Maintain accurate and complete patient and laboratory records
• Assist with inventory control and reagent management
• Ensure compliance with CAP CLIA and other regulatory standards
• Support specimen collection processing and referral testing activities

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree required
• Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or related field preferred
• Active Florida Medical Technologist license required
• 12 years of experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist required
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
