Material Manager

About the Company

Geekhunter is recruiting on behalf of our client an Indonesian company engaged in the manufacturing distribution and trading of office stationery and filing products.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the material warehouse team (3–5 staff) to ensure smooth daily operations and target achievement.
• Conduct annual and monthly workload analysis including manpower and equipment planning to support operational efficiency.
• Oversee material planning order execution and shipment control to ensure timely delivery and operational effectiveness.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and maintain optimal stock levels to minimize discrepancies and material shortages.
• Manage inbound and outbound material processes ensuring consistency between system records and physical inventory.
• Supervise material inventory management including proper documentation and reporting.
• Manage consignment materials including tracking reconciliation and stock monitoring.
• Ensure timely and accurate material distribution to production and related departments.
• Develop implement and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to warehouse and material management.
• Monitor departmental KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
• Lead coach and develop team members to improve capability discipline and productivity.
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments such as Production Procurement PPIC and Finance to ensure operational alignment.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in material warehouse or inventory management within a large manufacturing company.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role with team handling experience (3–5 members).
• Strong knowledge of semi-finished goods warehouse management including inbound outbound stock control and inventory accuracy.
• Experience in manufacturing companies with a Chinese-funded enterprise background is preferred.
• Familiar with SAP/ERP systems and warehouse management processes.
• Strong leadership problem-solving and operational management skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple operational priorities.
• Good communication and coordination skills across departments.
• Fluent in English both spoken and written; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

Required Skills:

English supply chain expert
