Job Summary
Kalkoup Clinics is seeking a compassionate and capable High Needs Support Worker(s) to join our growing team. This is a deeply rewarding opportunity to support NDIS participants with complex medical needs in their homes helping them live safer fuller lives surrounded by their families and support networks.
Youll be delivering specialised hands-on support tailored to each participants care plan including assistance with PEG feeding seizure response tracheostomy care ventilator support and other high-intensity daily supports. What youll be doing:
You will be working closely with participants and their families to provide safe specialised care tailored to each individual care plan including:
PEG feeding and enteral nutrition support
Seizure monitoring and emergency response
Tracheostomy care and respiratory support
Ventilator support (where required)
Wound care and skin integrity management
Continence and personal care assistance
Monitoring oxygen levels and general wellbeing
Community access and in-home support
Documentation and communication with the broader care team
Shifts Available:
We are currently hiring for the following support arrangements based in Perth North and Perth East.
Participant 1 Young Child:
Support for a young participant requiring PEG feeding support
Seizure monitoring and response
Continence care and personal care assistance
General wellbeing monitoring and in-home support
Participant 2 Adult Male (Complex Care):
Tracheostomy care and respiratory support
Ventilator support
Skin integrity management and wound care
Personal care and ongoing health monitoring
Training will be provided for both participants. Experience in complex care is preferred however candidates without prior experience will be supported through comprehensive in-house training.
Who we are looking for:
Essential:
Experience supporting people with disability or complex care needs.
Familiarity with tracheostomy care PEG feeding seizure response and oxygen support (training can be provided).
Current First Aid and CPR certification (HLTAID011).
NDIS Workers Screening
National Police Clearance and WA Working with Children Check.
Valid WA Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle.
