Duties & Responsibilities

Our client a leading player within the financial services sector is seeking a Finance Specialist to join their Group Reporting team.

This role forms a key part of the broader finance function supporting the delivery of high-quality management reporting and performance analysis to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

You will play an integral role in the preparation and coordination of monthly quarterly and annual reporting while providing insights that support executive decision-making. This is a dynamic environment where your ability to analyse financial data collaborate across teams and contribute to reporting excellence will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual management reports for senior stakeholders including Exco and Board-level reporting
  • Assist with the month-end reporting process including flash reporting and financial performance analysis
  • Coordinate reporting inputs across business units and functions
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial results presentations and reporting packs
  • Provide analysis and commentary on financial performance and key business drivers
  • Support planning processes including forecasts and medium-term planning
  • Assist with half-year and year-end reporting deliverables
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and respond to queries from internal stakeholders
  • Participate in process improvements system changes and reporting enhancements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the business

Job Experience and Skills Required:

  • B-degree in Accounting or Financial Management (essential)
  • CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (preferred)
  • Previous experience within financial services or banking (advantageous)
  • Strong financial accounting and reporting experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to interpret financial data and present insights clearly
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
