Job Summary

POSITION: Lourie Center Programs Coordinator (FT-Program Coordinator II)
General Description: Coordinates the execution of the programs held at the Lourie Center including serving as team leader of on-site center staff instructors and volunteers. Responsible for managing program schedules updating membership and attendance rolls maintaining center records and following established methods procedures and policies.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time salaried exempt position. SRI compensation schedule 17 ($). Reports to the Director of Community Based Services.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinates all Lourie Center programming to ensure high quality services for social engagement physical fitness continuing education and enrichment of the arts and culture.
  2. Schedules and develops programming and secures instructors to meet program needs.
  3. Maintains accurate roster of members including enrollments and attendance.
  4. Evaluates programming and activity utilization and effectiveness.
  5. Serves as primary point of contact for the center to seniors visitors and the community.
  6. Serves as primary point of contact for community partner rental inquiries processes applications and agreements and maintains precise rental scheduling and recordkeeping.
  7. Prepares daily weekly monthly and annual data reports of service needs and delivery.
  8. Responsible for all client files computer data written records and clerical duties.
  9. Verifies services meet internal and external policies through quality assurance reviews.
  10. Maintains records necessary to document compliance with regulations.
  11. Ensures compliance with regulations guidelines and standards of funding sources including but not limited to the South Carolina Department on Aging Central Midlands Council of Governments and South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
  12. Assist and support agency functions including representing the agency to promote service offerings and provides supportive assistance across the organization as needed.
  13. Completing other duties and special projects as assigned by Director of Community Based Services and/or Executive Director.
Qualifications:
High school diploma (or equivalent) required; Bachelors degree or higher in related field preferred. At least three years related experience required with at least 2 years prior experience working with seniors or elderly populations preferred. Demonstrates progressive program coordination experience working independently to meet team goals. Extensive computer knowledge and skill including specialized client/customer databases high-level working knowledge of audiovisual (AV) technology setup and troubleshooting proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications required. Communicates effectively and appropriately both verbally and in writing. Strong organizational communication and customer service skills. Demonstrates sound interpersonal skills. Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends. Must be able to lift bend and carry up to 25 lbs. for 100 feet.
