Job Summary
Controls Solutions Group has an immediate need for an HR Generalist who can proactively engage with business operations to deliver HR Initiatives that support business objectives and drive growth for the business and its people.
The HR Generalist will provide counsel to business leaders and managers on a variety of HR related topics with an emphasis on HR program and policy administration employee relations and supporting the Companys staffing initiatives. The HR Generalist will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: performance management coaching compensation onboarding policy implementation compliance recruitment administration of timekeeping and payroll processing.
The Human Resource Generalist reports to the President with a dotted functional line to EMCOR Mechanical Services HR. This position is located in New York City.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver all human resource activities to include employment life cycle compensation employee and labor relations recruiting onboarding talent management benefits and training and development.
- Build positive collaborative relationships across the organization to drive employee engagement.
- Source attract and select talent. Regularly attend in person networking and recruiting events.
- Analyze recruiting retention and other key HR metrics to develop actionable insights that support our business objectives and enable organizational growth.
- Manage complex employee relations matters including conducting workplace investigations in conjunction with functional HR leadership.
- Provide advice and counsel to managers to facilitate the resolution of employee relations matters.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including EEOC FLSA FMLA ADA AAP ACA Title VII and various legislation impacting the employment arena and ensure timely submittal of federal state and local reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee personnel records in accordance with guidelines and ensure employment related data is accurately and effectively entered and maintained in payroll and HRIS systems.
- Build collaborative relationships across the organization to drive effective talent management programs.
- Administer Company benefits and communicate the value of benefit offerings to employees serving as a liaison between employees and benefit administrators.
- Develop and implement HR function process improvements.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and managers on HR processes and programs including recruiting performance management employee relations and employee growth and development.
- Provide guidance and support to all employees on company policies procedures and employment related matters.
- Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural issues and inquiries.
- Evaluate impact of HR programs and procedures on operations as requested and provide actionable insights.
- Coordinate weekly payroll processing between operations and payroll departments; review payroll reports and make / request corrections as needed; maintain accurate filing systems for all payroll records.
- Process office employees timesheets.
- Work in-office on a regular basis to enhance collaboration build relationships and provide in-person HR support to the workforce.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in human resources or related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources.
- Prior experience processing payroll preferred.
- Human Resources Certification (PHR or SPHR) is preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment and labor and benefit legislation and regulations.
- Able to successfully navigate through conflict while ensuring effective relationships remain intact.
- Able to proactively communicate and engage correct stakeholders by defining and implementing action planning.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be results-oriented and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Able to analyze data synthesize and provide recommendations.
- Must possess a high sense of urgency and a record of on-time delivery of projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Prior experience with HR Information Systems and Payroll System.

This is an onsite office environment.

Geographic Disclosure
Compensation Range: $90000 - $115000
Other Compensation: This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus.
