WhatYoull Be Doing
Depending onyour experience and the role you step into you may:
- Build strong trusting relationships with young people through day-to-day support counselling mentoring and practical life skills
- Support young people in residential settings helping create safe structured home-like environments (residential youth worker roles only)
- Facilitate activities programs and that build confidence skill building capability and belonging
- Work alongside families internal programs community partners and other services
Support assessment and goalplanning processes helping identifystrengths skillbuilding needs and progress against Mastery Unit competencies.
Complete checklists notes evaluation tools and reports accurately andon time with guidance from senior staff.
- Contribute to a culture grounded in the Circle of Courage trauma-informed practice and BackTrack values
- (For Lead roles) Provide guidance coaching and day-to-day leadership to youth work teams
What Youll Bring
You dont need to tick every box what matters most is your heart for the work and yourability to show up for young people. Were looking for people with:
- Experience working with young people in community education residential or wellbeing settings
- Experience supporting youth programs or group activities ideally in regional or community settings.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a calm grounded presence
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive values-driven culture
- Relevant qualifications (Youth Work Community Services Social Work or similar) or related discipline
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends where required
- WWCC National Police Check and Drivers Licence
