As a Locum NP you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality urgent care services working directly with patients to assess their needs and provide effective treatment. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients while maintaining the standards of our medical practice.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans as necessary
- Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Respond to urgent medical situations with prompt care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
Requirements
- Associates degree in Nursing or related field
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification
- Valid state license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner
- Experience in urgent care or similar clinical settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
Schedule: 8a-7p
Daily Volume: 20 or fewer patients
Patient Population: Pediatrics through geriatrics
Case Types: Acute symptoms minor injuries STD testing ticks etc.
Team Structure: 1 NP 1 clinical team member (RN LPN or MA)
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
