Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service (AWAHS) is anAboriginal community-controlled health organisation that aims to empowerAboriginal people to take control of their individual family and communityhealth and wellbeing needs through our clinical and community programs.
Our Medical Receptionists are the first point of contact inthis important multi service health hub and we are seeking a dynamic and caringadministration professional to support the quality care experience for AWAHSpatients.
This is an identified role and applicants are required to beof Aboriginal or Torres strait Islander heritage
Aboutthe role:
Be the firstpoint of contact for the organisation creating a welcoming and professionalexperience for all patients and visitors
Providehigh-quality customer service and support to patients clients and team members
Buildpositive relationships with patients and colleagues while always respectingprivacy and maintaining dignity
Handlesensitive information with care professionalism and discretion
Answer andmanage phone calls in a timely and professional manner ensuring messages arepassed on and followed up as needed
Coordinateappointments manage bookings and keep the patient management system up to date
Assist withphone triage and support the smooth running of the clinic
Support the Administration Managerwith general administrative tasks and any additional duties as required

Previousexperience in a medical or reception role is welcomed but not essential
Ademonstrated understanding of Aboriginal culture values and community with acommitment to working in a culturally safe and respectful manner
