About the role:
The House Lead Disability Support Worker role supports and mentors a dedicated team of disability support workers. The roleis responsible fordeliveringnew stafftraining as well as coordinating daily tasks appointments and meal planning. This is a people-focused role with an emphasis on person-centred support.
What will I be doing
Our House Lead- Disability Support Workers practice Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) and may berequiredto are range of activities to support the effective support of our clients and will include:
- Effective Handovers
- Medication management
- Conducting daily house meetings
- Management of house
- Client meal planning
- Planning social and community activities
- Conduct shadow shifts with new DSWs including emergency management training.
About you
- MinimumCertificate IV Qualification in a relevant area such as Disability Community Services or Aged Care (highly desirable with nursing experience)
- Current NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of excellence
- Victorian drivers licence
- Full Australian working rights
