Disability Support Worker
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide assistance and support to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping clients with daily living activities providing emotional support and promoting independence and community integration
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing dressing and grooming
Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
Help clients with mobility and transportation needs
Administer medication and monitor health conditions
Assist with meal preparation and household tasks
Develop and implement individualized care plans
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for clients
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Certification in disability support or related field preferred
Experience working with individuals with disabilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compassionate and patient demeanour
Ability to handle challenging behaviours and situations
Knowledge of disability rights and advocacy
