Disability Support Worker

Blue Iris Support Services is seekingdedicated Support Workers to join our dynamic team across the Ipswich a Support Worker you will play a vital role in providing personalised careand assistance to our valued clientshelping them maintain their independenceand live fulfilling lives. This is a casual position offering the flexibilityto work around your schedule.

We are currently seeking SupportWorkers to support a male participant in the Ipswich area.

Shift times are listed below. Pleasenote the availability requirements:

Availability:7 days per week

Shift:8:00 am 4:00 pm

Shift:4:00 pm 8:00 am (sleepover/inactive night)

Experience supporting high-needsclients or complex behaviours is essential; training and ongoing support willbe provided.

What youll be doing

1. Assist clients with daily living activities including personal care meal preparation and light housekeeping.
2. Accompany clients to appointments social activities and community events.
3. Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities.
4. Monitor client wellbeing and report any changes or concerns to the care team.
5. Follow all policies procedures and safety protocols to ensure the highest standards of care.
6. Implement behaviour support strategies and communicate effectively with non-verbal clients (training provided).

What were looking for

Current First Aid and CPR certification(required).

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check(Yellow Card) (required).

Current Blue Card (Working withChildren Check) (required).

Experience supporting non-verbalhigh-needs clients and/or working with challenging behaviours.

A genuine passion for supporting andempowering people with diverse needs.

Successful applicants will have accessto nationally recognised training programs.

Strong communication and interpersonalskills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.

Adaptability and the ability to workeffectively in a team environment.

A commitment to providingperson-centred compassionate support.

A valid drivers licence and access toa reliable vehicle (required).
