The Role
As a Permanency Caseworker youll work closely with children families and referral sources to build and execute comprehensive permanency plans connecting adoptive and kinship families with the individualized support they need for stable lasting placements. Youll provide the full range of SWAN service units including:
- Child Profiles and Child Preparation Services
- Child-Specific Recruitment
- Family Profiles and Placement
- Finalization support
- In-home visits case advocacy and ongoing family support
Services are delivered in home and community settings. Both full-time (40 hrs/week) and part-time positions are available.
What Were Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in social work counseling or a related field
- 12 years of related experience and/or internship (preferred not required)
- Experience working with trauma-impacted individuals and families
- Strong relationship-building and one-on-one communication skills
- Excellent organizational and computer skills
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends or non-traditional hours as needed
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic community-based environment
