Join Alternative Family Services as a PPC Project Coordinator supporting the overall administration and coordination of the AFS/SFHSA Resource Parent Training contract. Responsibilities include assisting with the coordination of pre-approval and advanced trainings for resource parents supporting the planning and execution of events and conferences and helping prepare and organize additional trainings and related activities.
In addition the PPC Project Coordinator works closely with the PPC Program Director to support the management oversight and daily operations of the PPC Training Project. This position includes both direct service and administrative responsibilities to help ensure effective implementation and smooth program operations

About Alternative Family Services
Alternative Family Services is a Foster Family Adoption and Mental Health Agency that has been serving abused and neglected children in our community since 1973. Our mission is to support vulnerable children and families in need of stability safety and well-being in communities. We provide a wide range of foster adoption mental health and transition-aged youth services in English and Spanish. We have eight locations throughout the Bay Area and over 225 employees. Responsibilities
- Meet on a weekly basis with the AFS Program Director of PPC
- Monitor and maintain participant tracking system
- Manage and maintain training registration to ensure accurate records
- Co-Facilitate meetings and trainings as assigned
- Develop and distribute materials such as flyers as assigned
- Create/Prepare reports for project deliverables
- Analyze evaluations on training activities and events
- Assist with managing PPC email and phone communication to Resource Parents
- Assist with processing invoices and ensure timely and accurate payment to payees.
- Maintain and update the live training schedule to ensure accuracy
- Recommend improvements on systems and databases
- Assist with data collection and the preparation of reports
- Support development of proposed Budget
- Assist with event planning and coordination of trainings meetings and events
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy practices
- Adhere to our attendance and punctuality policy
Needed Upon Hire
- Bachelors degree (B.A.)
- Preferred 2 years experience working in the field of social services or related field
- Strong organizational skills with eh ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Experience with coordinating events including planning organization and executing
- Obtain and maintain fingerprint and government and Agency required background clearances Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification
- Valid California drivers license with an acceptable driving record and auto insurance showing as an insured driver on the policy
- Ability to transport materials supplies and equipment to and from events and trainings
- Possess a high level of integrity honesty and strong work ethic
- Able to read and write fluently in English
- Able to meet the specific linguistic needs of the target population (read and write Spanish desirable)
- Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets
- Strong working knowledge of Canva for similar platforms for creating professional presentations flyers social media graphics and other visual materials.
- Demonstrates the ability to understand interpret and apply Agency policies and County regulations accurately and effectively.
- Able to support with training curriculum updates
- Able to be proactive and results-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and take initiative to achieve goals
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate professionally and build effective working relationships with social services and child welfare professionals across public and private agencies.
- Possess and agree to continue to work on cultural competency as it relates to the diverse client population served
- Able to maintain a professional demeanor in a stressful environment
- Demonstrates the ability to build positive professional relationships with co-workers county representatives and Resource Parents.
- Flexible and adaptable able to respond to changing project needs to ensure successful outcomes
- Able to work with minimal direct supervision and manage time and prioritize workload
- High level of organization attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
