Description

As an HVAC Controls - Senior Field Service Technician here at Honeywell you will play a critical role in delivering expert technical service and support to our customers. You will be responsible for troubleshooting maintaining and repairing complex building automation systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

In this role you will impact customer experience by ensuring reliable and efficient operation of building automation systems contributing to energy efficiency safety and productivity for our clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform installation maintenance and repair of Honeywell building automation systems and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues on-site to minimize downtime and maximize system performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to provide technical support and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Document service activities and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions based on field experience.

You will report directly to our Senior Field Service Supervisor. Travel is required including overnight stays all within South Dakota and North Dakota. You will follow a Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM schedule. You will be provided with a company vehicle tools phone laptop and expense card (for tools and PPE allowance).



Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Proven experience in field service or technical support roles related to building automation or similar systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC control systems and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software used in building automation system maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience working with Honeywell building automation products and software is highly desirable.
  • Willing to work independently and travel to customer sites (requiring overnight stay occasionally)
  • Willing to work on a rotating emergency on-call shift which includes nights and weekends

WE VALUE

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering HVAC or related technical field.
  • N4 (Niagara) Certification preferred
  • 5 years of experience in field service or technical roles within building automation or related industries.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance in building systems.
