Construction Contracts Manager JAPAC
Job Summary
The Construction Contracts Manager JAPAC is a regional role responsible for supporting the successful delivery of construction projects across Japan and Asia Pacific by providing dedicated contract commercial administrative and governance support. The role will be based in Singapore or Australia and will work closely with Senior Construction Managers Construction Managers Global Project Controls Procurement Finance Legal and external contractors.
This position will play a key role in setting up and managing construction contracts coordinating purchase orders supporting cost management processes and ensuring consistent administration across all regional projects. As the JAPAC construction portfolio continues to grow this role will provide the structure and oversight needed to reduce administrative burden on Construction Managers and allow them to focus on project execution safety quality schedule and stakeholder management.
The Construction Contracts Manager will also support contractor onboarding contract compliance governance processes reporting requirements and the rollout of global project controls processes across the region. By centralizing contract and commercial administration this role will improve visibility strengthen governance reduce execution risk and enable the JAPAC construction team to scale efficiently and consistently.

- Manage the setup administration and ongoing coordination of construction contracts across JAPAC projects.
- Support Senior Construction Managers and Construction Managers with contractor onboarding requirements.
- Coordinate purchase order creation tracking approvals amendments and closeout activities.
- Maintain accurate contract records commercial documentation change logs and project administration files.
- Provide cost management oversight across projects including tracking committed costs forecast updates change orders and budget alignment.
- Work with Global Project Controls to support process rollout governance reporting standards and regional compliance.
- Help implement consistent contract management and project control processes across JAPAC.
- Support change order administration including documentation approvals tracking and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with vendor and contractor documentation including onboarding information insurance compliance records and commercial requirements.
- Coordinate with Procurement Finance Legal and Project Controls to resolve contract PO invoice and approval issues.
- Support invoice review and payment coordination by ensuring invoices align with contracts purchase orders and approved project scope.
- Track contract milestones deliverables key dates approvals and commercial obligations.
- Provide regular reporting on contract status PO status cost position change orders and commercial risks.
- Identify and escalate risks related to contract delays PO gaps missing documentation cost exposure or governance non-compliance.
- Support project closeout activities including final documentation PO reconciliation contract closeout and lessons learned.
- Act as a regional point of coordination for contract administration and commercial governance across JAPAC construction projects.
- Reduce administrative burden on Construction Managers by providing structured contract cost PO and documentation support.
- Drive consistency transparency and accountability in contract and cost management processes across the region.
Key Skills Required
- Strong contract setup administration and contract management skills.
- Cost management experience including cost tracking change orders forecasting support and budget alignment.
- Construction project administration experience including documentation reporting PO support and invoice coordination.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work with Construction Managers Project Controls Procurement Finance Legal contractors and vendors.
- Experience supporting contractor onboarding commercial setup compliance documentation and vendor coordination.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple projects countries and deadlines.
- Ability to support governance process rollout and reporting with Global Project Controls.
- Construction experience recommended; data center construction experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel as required across JAPAC.
Experience Required
- 35 years of relevant experience in contract administration construction project administration cost management procurement support or a related construction/commercial role.
- Experience in construction or infrastructure projects is recommended.
- Data center project experience is recommended but not essential.
