Job Title:

Project Manager

Job Purpose:

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to execute the capital plan within agreed and approved budget schedule and quality parameters. The successful candidate will direct and manage contractors to ensure the delivery of safe timely and efficient solutions.

Responsibilities:

Manage budget establishment and submission for projects scoped and costed in line with the User Requirement Specification and customer requirements ensuring budget accuracy.
Ensure all assigned projects follow the Capital Stage Gate process from concept and initiation through feasibility final design execution handover for beneficial occupation and project close-out.
Manage contractors and other impacted stakeholders under the direction of the Engineering Manager to deliver safe optimal timely and efficient solutions.
Ensure technical solutions support targeted plant efficiency and productivity.
Develop technical solutions that consider maintenance requirements to enable effective repair and maintenance activities.
Drive continuous improvement of systems and processes by identifying and recommending alternative solutions that increase throughput reduce utility consumption and minimise maintenance effort.
Take responsibility for SHEQ management by ensuring equipment machinery personnel and products are protected from risk and harm.
Identify and address hazards promptly and conduct risk assessments for all proposed solutions.
Ensure contractors are effectively managed in accordance with SHEQ standards and site processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

National Diploma in Engineering is required.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a formal Project Management role.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other advanced management certifications would be advantageous
