Overview:

The Director Operations II directs and oversees the efficient and effective operations for a large number (11 or more) of ambulatory practices hospital based practices and/or diagnostic facilities. Supervises Practice Managers and Team Coordinators assigned to one or more practices. Develops and executes a strategic plan that aligns with the organizational objectives related to staffing employee development performance management customer service/satisfaction service delivery quality revenue enhancement expense control budgeting regulatory compliance safety and security.

Education/Experience:

• Associate Degree (required)

• Bachelors Degree (preferred) Associate degree and 10 years leadership experience in lieu of Bachelor Degree

• Diverse management experience/knowledge required preferably in areas such as ambulatory healthcare administration managed-care change management or other relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

Provide Operational Leadership for the Orthopedic and Pain Management Divisions of SMG Hampton Roads / NENC including:

• Orthopedics

• 5 sub-specialties (ortho trauma ortho hand sports medicine general ortho foot & ankle) covering 13 clinic locations across Hampton Roads and NENC with the addition of a Peninsula location later this year

• Pain Management

• 3 locations with a 4th coming online later this year (Fort Norfolk) as well as planned expansion.
