What Youll Do

In this dynamic journey-level role youll coordinate the Districts communications and legislative efforts including:

• Developing compelling contentpress releases social media videos newsletters and presentationsto inform and engage the public
• Managing and enhancing the Districts website and digital presence
• Leading community outreach and public education efforts
• Monitoring and analyzing federal state and local legislation and providing timely updates to leadership
• Building relationships with media community organizations and government partners
• Supporting strategic messaging and advising teams on effective communication approaches
• Helping plan and promote events that connect the public to the Districts mission

This position plays a key role in ensuring our community understands the value of the services we provide and the policies that shape them.

Typical Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in communications public relations public administration journalism or a related field
• Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in communications or public relations
