Job Summary

Description

This is a summer position for students they will assist the Physical Plant crew with maintenance duties around campus.

Examples of Duties

Conduct general grounds work
- Mowing
- Weed eating
- Pressure washing
- Snow removal
Assist in the moving and transport of office equipment furniture etc.
Follow established safety and other use protocols for power tools and equipment
Assist with special functions or events as needed

Other support duties as assigned by departmental supervisor

Typical Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and up to one year of directly related experience required. Ability to read and follow instructions. Must be skilled with the use of common tools and equipment used in various trades. Basic math and computer skills are a must. Must have the initiative to work alone and proceed with assigned task. Scheduled shift may vary.
