Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops balanced and effective workout routines;
• Leads participants in exercises and routines in accordance with generally accepted practices;
• Safeguards participant health and well-being;
• Promotes good relations with patrons and staff;
• Completes reports as required;
• Participates in staff in-service training sessions and meetings as required.
• Adheres to and enforces facility policies rules and regulations and educates patrons about them;
• Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies procedures and safety practices;
• Attends work regularly at the designated place and time;
• Supports Citys continuous process improvement initiatives;
• Performs related work as required.

Acceptable Experience and Training

• One or more years experience in water exercise at the participant level required. Previous experience as a water or land exercise instructor/personal trainer preferred.

• Current certification American Red Cross CPR preferred. Aquatics Exercise Association Water Exercise Instructor certification preferred.

Work Schedule

• 2-4 hours/week teaching water exercise
