Job Description
Aftermarket Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager required to join a leading engineering Manufacturer specialising in pumps and rotating equipment.
The successful Aftermarket Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business development and managing key accounts across the North (Manchester Leeds Sheffield) with a focus on aftermarket servicesincluding pump repair overhaul maintenance and field service contracts. You will play a key role in developing framework agreements across industrial and fire protection sectors selling engineered service solutions for critical rotating equipment.
The ideal Aftermarket Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will have direct recent experience within a pump repair organisation or Pump Supplier environment with a strong understanding of aftermarket services field service operations and customer requirements within industrial or fire pump applications. This is a high-impact role requiring immediate contribution with minimal training.

AftermarketSales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager Role:
- Drive new business development across pump repair overhaul and aftermarket service contracts within the industrial and fire sectors
- Develop and secure framework agreements with end users across the general industry and fire protection markets
- Manage and grow existing service accounts ensuring long-term contract retention and expansion
- Sell field service solutions including maintenance shutdown support and reactive service offerings
- Work closely with internal service centres and engineering teams to coordinate project delivery and ensure customer satisfaction
- Prepare quotations proposals and technical solutions aligned to customer requirements
- Travel across the Northern region (4 days per week) with regular visits to service centres.
Aftermarket Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager Requirements:
- Proven experience in a sales or business development role within pump repair rotating equipment services or aftermarket engineering environments
- Must have direct recent experience working for a pump service/repair/supplier company.
- Strong technical understanding of pumps valves rotating equipment and associated service solutions
- Experience selling service contracts maintenance agreements or framework agreements into industrial or fire markets
- An established network and customer base within the Northern UK region is highly desirable
- Engineering qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent) desirable
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
This is a fully remote role covering the North of England with a strong focus on field-based customer engagement and business development activity.
