Job Description Summary
Responsible for the coordination planning preparation presentation and evaluation of all learning activities in any given course. The instructor must remain current in the discipline area and continually explore teaching methods and strategies to engage learners organize and plan instructional content that accommodates diverse learning styles and devise appropriate assessment tools that monitor student learning outcomes. The instructor is also responsible for participating in related activities to include professional development curriculum design and other activities that contribute to the department division and College. The instructor performs all other duties as directed by the Division Dean EVP /Provost or the President or designee.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Master of Fine Arts in Visual Art or a masters degree in any related field of Art and fifteen (15) graduate-level credits in applied Art. Satisfactory completion of 30 semester hours or more in an accredited doctoral program in Visual Art may at the discretion of the Vice President be determined to meet this requirement. Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience preferably at the college level. Experience implementing high-impact teaching practices preferred. AREA SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Ability to teach across the curriculum in Digital Photography 2-Dimensional Design Adobe Creative Suite Introduction to Computer Graphics Introduction to Art. Extent of college-level teaching experience in Digital Photography Studio Courses. Currency in professional discipline through exhibition records awards and residencies scholarly presentations attendance at conventions such as CAA Advancing Art & Design or specific courses taken for professional development. Facility with Adobe Creative Suite Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.
