Special Education Teacher Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction to high school students with diverse learning needs
• Develop implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with academic functional and transition goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers related service providers and families
• Monitor and document student progress using data-driven practices
• Support students with executive functioning social-emotional and academic skill development
• Ensure compliance with federal state and district special education regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings team meetings and professional development
• Foster a supportive inclusive learning environment that promotes student independence and success

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Special Education (minimum)
• Valid New Hampshire Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
• Experience with high school students or secondary special education preferred
