Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment in a short-term acute care facility. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care respiratory therapy experience and the ability to manage a wide variety of adult respiratory conditions in ICU PCU Emergency Department and Med/Surg environments. Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care and therapy treatments for critically ill and acute care patients
- Perform respiratory assessments airway management suctioning and ventilator management
- Assist with intubations extubations and emergency respiratory procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including BiPAPs ventilators HFNC and oxygen delivery systems
- Draw and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Support patient care for respiratory conditions including:
- COPD
- Asthma
- Pneumonia
- ARDS
- RSV
- Respiratory distress syndromes
- Assist with patient transport and high-risk delivery support as needed
- Collaborate with physicians nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
Requirements
- Active Indiana RRT license required at submission
- National RRT certification required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- NRP and PALS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Experience with Hamilton ventilators and BiPAP equipment preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
