Location: The Westbourne Centre Edgbaston
Hours: Part-time 22.5 hours (3 days per week 9:00am 5:00pm)

Salary: 24944.00 FTE (Prorated: 14966.40)

As a purpose-built day-case facility we specialise in cosmetic surgery dentistry ophthalmology general surgery orthopaedics and non-surgical treatments. Conveniently located near Five Ways the Centre is easily accessible by road and public transport.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our hospital accounts this role you will support the finance function by carrying out a range of daily weekly and monthly accounting tasks ensuring accuracy and efficiency across financial processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop or progress a career in finance within a supportive healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts receivable including billing for private and insured patients
  • Consultant room rent invoicing
  • Assisting with aged debtors reporting and account reconciliation
  • Credit control and follow-up of outstanding payments
  • Reconciling daily cash sheets
  • Supporting the team to meet departmental targets and deadlines
  • Maintaining high standards of service delivery
  • Undertaking ad-hoc duties and finance-related projects as required

About You

  • Previous experience (23 years) within an accounts or finance team ideally
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Good numeracy and IT skills (e.g. Excel finance systems)
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
