Founded in 1977 the company operates from a 150000 square foot manufacturing and roasting facility more than 2 million pounds of green coffee storage facility 50 million pounds annually of coffee roasting capacity as well as multiple roasting lines flavor mixing systems and 14 automated packaging lines.

WAGE RANGE (NON -EXEMPT):$19/ hour
SCHEDULE: Multiple Shifts Available
  • 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM M-F
  • 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM M-F
  • Weekend Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Fri- Sun
REPORTS TO: Single Serve Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Bin Wrangler supports all Single-Serve production lines by managing the flow of roasted coffee from Coffee Operations to production. This role ensures coffee is organized staged and supplied to each line in correct FIFO & FEFO order while maintaining accuracy of inventory and documentation. The Bin Wrangler plays a key role in keeping production continuous and efficient by communicating closely with Coffee Ops the Flavorist and Line Supervisors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
  • Coffee Supply & Organization
  • Maintain organized coffee inventory for all Single-Serve lines.
  • Supply and set up coffee bins to production lines following FIFO (First In First Out) standards.
  • Verify degas times before staging and identify coffee readiness using color-coded numerical cones for visual control.
  • Use forklift and reach truck to move stage and store coffee bins and supersacks safely.
  • Transfer coffee from supersacks into bins perform nitrogen (nitro) sack process and weigh coffee accurately.
  • Track and manage license plate paperwork associated with each coffee lot and bin.
  • Communication & Coordination
  • Communicate daily with the Coffee Operations Department about coffee status supply levels and pending needs for Single-Serve lines.
  • Coordinate with the Flavorist for flavored coffee handlingensuring flavored bins are delivered and returned properly.
  • Coordinate with packagingto cover lines as needed.
  • Notify the Production Supervisor immediately of any concerns regarding coffee supply degas timing or bin availability.
  • Inventory & Documentation
  • Complete a daily inventory sheet reflecting all coffee on the production floor.
  • Monitor FIFO rotation accuracy and degas times for compliance.
  • Learn to read the weekly production schedule to anticipate coffee requirements for upcoming runs.
  • Housekeeping & Area Maintenance
  • Keep the bin and coffee staging area clean and organized at all times.
  • Roll up and return empty supersacks to Coffee Ops in an organized manner.
  • Manage and empty garbage and recycle bins in the coffee staging area.
  • Maintain proper organization of empty bins and ensure flavored bins are stored or sent back to the flavor room appropriately.
SKILL SET/ EXPERIENCE:
  • Forklift and Reach Truck Certification required (training provided through Cascade Coffee).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read and follow schedules production documents and inventory records.
  • Basic understanding of coffee degassing and handling processes preferred.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Basic ability to read write calculate simple math and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills needed to plan and implement machine functions.
  • Ability to address problems and propose viable solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills required.
WORK ENVIROMENT AND EQUIPMENT:
Fast-paced production floor environment with frequent forklift/reach use. Collaboration across departments including Coffee Ops Quality and Production. Requires adherence to all safety and food handling standards.
EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
WORK HABITS:
  • Regular attendance and promptness is a must for this job.
  • This job requires a high degree of teamwork.
  • Assists new training of employees as directed.
  • Candidates must be safety minded.
