Principal AI Engineer

As a discipline expert and contact drives functional performance by engineering and implementing business technology solutions aimed at enabling and accelerating delivery of new or improved solutions.  Investigate identify and implement state-of-the-art technology platforms that drive productivity and efficiency gains in own function and throughout multiple business areas.  Technical leader acting at a group department and cross-functional levels.  Responsible for managing the Data Solutions Business and/or technology environments and tying them to the Enterprise Architecture and other architectures designs.

Responsibilities

• Develops and achieves discipline strategy in alignment with functional goals and key business objectives. 

• Collaborates with experts within function to integrate technical objectives into activities associated with accelerated development of new/improved products or technology.

• Advances technical expertise within function. Proactively demonstrates leadership by advising and sharing knowledge and expert opinions with subordinates peers and senior management. Mentors and trains functional colleagues and assesses current and emerging business challenges enabling functional goal achievement.

• Ensures quality and effectiveness of key results of major project plans within function through sound design early risk assessments and implementation of fallback strategies.

• Sources and identifies emerging scientific and technological trends from multiple internal and external sources and assesses relevance. Integrates trends into functional short-term objectives.

• Advances crossdiscipline technology and direction through generation of data.
• Applies imagination and innovation by creating inventing and implementing new or better approaches alternatives and breakthrough ideas that are valued by customers within the function.

• Presents concepts and results for functional technical and nontechnical leaders as well as potential and existing partners. Maximizes impact and value of expertise.

• Responsible for adherence to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies including code of conduct safety GxP compliance and data security.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor Degree with 9 years experience; Master Degree with 8 years experience; PhD with 4 years experience.
• Technical background and Open Source contribution using AI Engineering healthcare pharmaceutical companies.
• Proven ability to innovate with a history of new or improved technology solutions with remarkable impact on company productivity.
• Interacts well with diverse groups within function and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
• Experience getting AI systems to production at scale. 

• Demonstrated ability to influence others in areas of science and technology.

• The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of thisposting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic locationand we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
