About the roleBlack Truck & Ag is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Roma QLD. This full-time role is responsible for the maintenance and repair of a range of heavy vehicles ensuring they are safe reliable and in optimal working condition. As a key member of our Automotive Trades team you will play a vital part in supporting the operations of our clients across the region.

What youll be doing

• Conducting routine servicing and inspections of heavy vehicles to identify and resolve any mechanical issues

• Diagnosing and repairing complex faults in engines transmissions brakes electrical systems and other vehicle components

• Maintaining detailed records of work undertaken and replacement parts used

• Collaborating with the wider team to ensure efficient workshop operations and timely delivery of services

• Adhering to all relevant safety standards and company policies

What were looking for

• Formal qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or a related automotive trade

• Extensive experience (3 years) working as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with a strong understanding of the latest vehicle technologies and diagnostic tools

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and resolve complex mechanical issues

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues

• A current drivers licence and your own reliable transportation
