Reporting to the Workshop Manager you will be primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of forklifts and a variety of other vehicles and equipment within the business as well as contributing to the broader workshop team. As a part of the workshop team you will be required to teach and mentor staff whilst also working closely with the Workshop Manager to drive continuous improvement initiatives. We will provide on the job training alongside experienced forklift mechanics to help built knowledge and experience in what Symons Clark do.

What you will be doing:

Shift Work with your choice of 7 days on / 7 days off roster (12-hour shift) OR regular Monday to Friday 5:2 roster.

Maintaining and repairing small and heavyClark Omega equipment.

All work to be carried out with safe work practices.

You will be responsible for servicing andworking on a variety of machinery such as fleet to large scale overhauls. This includesbut is not limited to boom mast to engine driveline and final drive systems. SymonsClark are proud to say we service everything inhouse.

You will be responsible for servicing equipment thatis predominantly Clark Omega ranging from 2.5t forklifts to 65t reach stackersas well as other plant equipment.

Do you have

Trade Certificate as a Diesel Mechanic.

C class drivers licence essential (Truck HC or MCdesirable).

Proven experience servicing and maintaining forklifts.

Auto electrical and/or hydraulic knowledge (desired butnot essential)

Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Good written and verbal communication.

A strong commitment to safety.

Knowledge of hydraulic systems desirable.

Ability to work with limited supervision.

Additional Information

Successful applicants will be required to complete aPre-Employment Medical Drug and Alcohol Screening and Police Check.
