Job Summary
The School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Level B) Midwifery in a teaching focused role where you will undertake teaching course coordination and curriculum development. It is a full-time position although part-time will be considered. You are expected to have demonstrated clinical midwifery expertise and teaching experience. You will also undertake some learning and teaching research or scholarship. If eligible supervision of Honours and research higher degree student is possible.
This is a continuing full time position primarily based at Griffith University Logan. As Griffith is a multi-site university you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith Universitys sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $117076 - $139031 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $136979 - $162667 per annum.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you will have
- Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (Ahpra) as a registered midwife.
- A minimum of a Masters qualification in midwifery (or equivalent).
- Previous midwifery teaching experience in the tertiary sector.
- Highly desirable is Ahpra endorsement for scheduled medication for midwives .
- Desirable completion of or enrolment in doctoral level program in midwifery or relevant field.
