Job purpose
To oversee and ensure that an efficient workshop is run according to the highest standards. Booking of jobs to ensure each department is allocated the work on time allowed and not over or under booking to create bottle necks in flow. To manage the workshop to ensure that the company in achieving its efficiency and financial objectives. Executing the required service and repairs to vehicles and to ensure total customer satisfaction in all their service and repair dealings with the company
Qualifications / Requirements:
Experience with:
- Daily report on WIP
- Managing people
- Updating WIP list daily for interaction and feedback to clients
- Workshop bookings
- Estimating time of completion on jobs
- Updating on paint shop
- Ensuring delivery of client vehicle is on time
- Weekly report on amount and rand value of vehicles delivered
- Weekly report of vehicles booked according to hours
- Daily time management of staff (manual and electronically and compared to quote)
- Comparing to job card on hours allowed
- Allocating jobs to the Technicians
- Daily WIP meeting
- Daily paint shop meeting
- Following repair process of vehicles to ensure completion dates stay in order
- Communicating the delivery date to customer with the various Technicians to ensure on time delivery
- Monitoring quality control after each stage for example bodywork paint polish assembly
- Checking if final inspection is done by the relevant people and quality control document is signed off
- OEM audit compliance
- Providing ETC of jobs to office to update clients accordingly every day
- Ensuring that a neat and tidy workshop is kept
- Ensuring weekly clean of booth filters and equipment is carried out and signed off on
- Ensuring customer complaints are handled swiftly
