About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our operations this role you will ensure that all inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately efficiently and on time to meet customer expectations. Youll play a key part in maintaining smooth logistics operations and supporting customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Process shipping documentation including BOLs manifests and cover sheets
- Update customer portals and internal systems following each shipment
- Maintain and update the shipping control board throughout your shift
- Conduct driver check-ins and direct drivers to appropriate docks
- Communicate shipment status and updates with customers as needed
- Verify pick accuracy vs. scans and report shortages to leadership
- Prepare and update pick sheets and daily hot sheets
- Coordinate small parcel and LTL shipments
- Track shortages and support daily materials meetings
- Maintain organized workspaces and follow 5S standards
- Review production/shipping reports (e.g. JIT/Kanban 862 releases DELJIT) and resolve issues
- Access customer portals to retrieve and print required shipping documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 13 months of related experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Good mathematical aptitude
- Understanding of FIFO (First In First Out) processes
- Strong communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift up to 10 lbs and frequently up to 25 lbs
- Stand walk and move throughout the shift
- Use hands for handling materials and equipment
- Visual ability including close and distance vision
Work Environment
- Warehouse and office setting
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts
- Moderate noise level
