Location

This position is based in South Bend Indiana. Attorneys should expect to be in the office the majority of the time initially with hybrid flexibility available after training.

Note

Candidates should have a J.D. be licensed to practice law in Indiana or able to become licensed promptly and have relevant corporate business transactional contract M&A real estate or closely related legal experience.

Job Description

• Advise businesses on corporate transactional contract and general business matters
• Draft review and negotiate contracts business agreements operating agreements and transaction documents
• Assist with business formation structuring governance financing acquisitions and sales
• Counsel clients on practical legal and business considerations
• Work directly with business owners executives and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with attorneys across litigation real estate estate planning and related practice areas
• Help grow and strengthen the firms corporate and transactional practice

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Indiana law license preferred or ability to become licensed promptly
• 3 years of transactional corporate business law contract M&A or related experience preferred
• Strong drafting negotiation analytical and client communication skills
• Ability to manage matters independently and work collaboratively with a team
• Real estate transactional experience is a plus
• Portable business is welcome but not required
