Pay: $100000.00 - $125000.00 per year

Location: This position is based in South Bend Indiana. Attorneys should expect to be in the office the majority of the time initially with hybrid flexibility available after training.

Note: Candidates should have a J.D. be licensed to practice law in Indiana or able to become licensed promptly and have relevant civil litigation experience.

Job Description

• Handle a variety of civil litigation matters from intake through resolution
• Draft pleadings motions discovery briefs settlement documents and client correspondence
• Conduct legal research and develop practical case strategy
• Manage discovery depositions hearings mediations negotiations and court appearances
• Communicate directly with clients opposing counsel courts and internal team members
• Work on business disputes contract litigation employment matters real estate disputes construction issues and related litigation
• Collaborate with partners and staff while independently managing assigned matters

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Indiana law license preferred or ability to become licensed promptly
• 3 years of civil litigation experience preferred
• Strong writing research advocacy and analytical skills
• Ability to manage files independently and professionally
• Deposition hearing mediation or trial preparation experience preferred
• Portable business is welcome but not required
