Job Summary
Job Opportunity: Accountant
Are you a meticulous and dependable team player with a passion for customer service We invite you to join our KAAPA team as an Accountant at our Aurora location.
Job Responsibilities:
- Daily banking activities
- Daily production entries
- Generate coproduct invoices and reports
- Month end reconciliations
- Review reports and take follow-up action where appropriate
- Assist in tracking all fixed assets including budget reporting and capitalization of fixed assets
- Develop and maintain accounts receivable business processes
- Establish and review customer credit
- Enter chemical receipts daily as they are delivered and signed off
- Assist with all audits and preparation of tax returns
- Accurately complete all required reports within required due dates
Working Hours:
- Monday - Friday: 8am - 4:30pm with additional hours required during harvest and as required throughout the year
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or business with an emphasis in accounting preferred
- Valid drivers license
- Experience with grain accounting
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting
- Attention to detail accuracy and thoroughness
- Expertise with accounting software systems
- Expertise with Microsoft Office Excel Outlook PowerPoint and Word
- Able to troubleshoot and coordinate resolution with local computer and network
