Job Summary
Budget Accountant
The Budget Accountant coordinates budget activities for assigned division(s) and/or unit(s) ensures financial accuracy in the general ledger billings and analyzes budget-to-actual variances with supporting explanations. Responsibilities include providing analytical support for budget preparation monitoring and collaboration with management to develop budget strategies aligned with organizational goals. The Budget Accountant makes recommendations and provides ongoing communication with business Directors and/or Managers to ensure financial aspects are managed according to GAAP UGMS Federal UGGContractand/or Grant terms asappropriate.
Qualifications
Minimum EducationBachelors Degree
Defined Education: Business Finance Accounting or related field
Preferences:None
Substitutions:4 years of work experience in a similar role or field can beSubstituted for the education requirements
Years Experience:Three (3) years
Defined Experience:Accounting Finance or Business-related field in Government CommunityCenteror Healthcare
License/Certifications:Valid Texas Drivers License
